Moving on, here’s what makes the Renault Triber stand out with its first in segment features, that are sure to strengthen Renault’s foothold in the Automotive industry and the Indian Car Market.
Firstly, the Renault Triber looks closer to Renault’s other SUV Captur with the muscle of the Renault Duster, small however for a 7-seater MPV. The Renault Triber is 3,990 mm long, 1,739 mm wide and 1,643 mm tall.
The Renault Triber looks more like a cross hatch, with its sporty features, like the bold Renault badge on the chrome grille, silver finished bumper grille and an interesting headlamp cluster on the front.
The interior of the Renault Triber is also quite practical and compact for a 5+2-seater MPV, that claims to pitch space for just about everything.
The dual tone, solid control mounted steering wheel is the highlight of the day as soon as you sit in the MPV. Renault’s signature dashboard has also been turned up a notch to add to the sporty feel of the Renault Triber, although the hard plastics were retained to keep it just as economical and practical with the multiple storage compartments, cubby holes and charge sockets on the side doors.
The 8-inch touch screen and infotainment system stands right in center of the dashboard, with radio, media and phone connectivity settings. The drive mode control knobs are also mounted on the dashboard. The other features of the Renault Triber include – Android auto and apple car play, push button start stop function, 3.5" MID, 4 air bags, ABS with EBD, Tilt adjust steering, Cooled center glovebox, reverse parking camera and sensors. While the Ac control is manual, the second and third-row passengers stills have the AC Vents, with fan speed control.
The second-row seats can be both slided and reclined, meaning if you opt out of the third-row seats, you can easily find more legs pace and comfort in the second row. The second-row seats have a 60-40 function, with slidable seats on the driver’s side and seats that can be tumbled on the passenger’s side, with just one touch, for easy movement in and out of the huge Renault Triber cabin.
The third row is quite comfortably positioned in terms of the head space and leg room owing to the raised roof line towards the rear end of the car and when you remove the third row seats, you get a boot space of up to 625 litres in under a minute. Overall the Renault Triber impresses with its innovative take on practicality.
The Renault Triber comes with a 1L, 3-cylinder engine with 72 PS and 96 Nm Torque, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission gear box. While the numbers don’t sound huge, Renault has put its best foot forward with the Triber in terms of economic viability.
